About Us

Our list of attendees is growing.  We are now up to 61 classmates that plan on coming to our 60th Reunion.  If you are viewing this on a mobile device you need to click on the 3 horizontal bars near the top left to navigate to pages within the website. Be sure to check out the list and if you are not on it, scroll down to the "Quick Links" area of the website and click on the " Register for 60th Reunion" button at the top of this page.  I also need you to signup for the Friday night event if you plan to attend it.  To register for that click on the "Register for Friday Event" button.  Both rosters have been updated.  If you're on it and changed your mind I need to know also.

We are planning to have our Saturday night event at the Truitt Vanderbilt House.  For those of you that don't know, that's the old Mansour mansion on Broad Street.  It has been repurposed into an event venue and it's beautiful.  Maybe we can get Pam Mansour to come to the reunion this year and she could tell us stories about what all went on in that house.  Some of you may even have stories about the house.  The venue is handicap accessible so that should not be a problem if you need it.  I know some of our yearly reunions have not been that way and some of you were not able to attend.  We still haven't locked down a Friday evening event so we are open to any and all suggestions for what you might be interested in doing and will try to make it all happen.  I just need you to provide me some feedback.  If you have any ideas/suggestions you would like included with our planning, feel free to reach out to me via email at 65grangers@gmail.com or click on the Contact Me button on the Home Page.

We have established dates for our 60th LHS Reunion.   We have selected the weekend of 8-10 August.  We anticipate we will have an informal dinner/get-together on Friday evening for those of you that want to get things started early.  Details will be announced later once we get an idea on the number of people that want to participate in that.  It was an event most of you indicated you would like to have.

The majority of you indicated you would like to have another event Saturday morning in addition to a nice dinner in the evening.  I guess what I need to hear from you is what type of event you would like to have.  Some examples would be a golf outing for those that would like to do that, a tour of the new LHS gymnasium could probably be arranged or perhaps a tour of Hills and Dales or The Biblical Center. We might even be able to charter Miss Sally, an oversized pontoon boat that does tours on West Point Lake.  If some of you have joined in on the Pickle Ball craze, Lagrange will have new Pickle Ball courts completed by then.  We could also rent one of the pavilions on West Point Lake and grill hot dogs and hamburgers and take boat rides on West Point Lake as well as tour the new Oakfuskee Conservation Center at Pyne Road Park.
